Procurement of Rescue Services

Hans-Joachim Prieß discussed the implications of the public procurement law reform with respect to the award of rescue services.
Academics and members of the public administration as well as lawyers debated aspects such as: “What is the exact scope of the exemption for certain services in the area of civil protection provided by non-profit organisations? Which requirements have to be taken into account when procuring of concession contracts for rescue services? Is there a need to modify the laws of the German Federal States (Bundesländer)?” The event was organised by forum vergabe e.V. and took place on 15 November 2016 in Leipzig.
