BLOMSTEIN recently advised PIA Performance Interactive Alliance für digitales Marketing GmbH („PIA“) on antitrust aspects in connection with the acquisition of tab GmbH („TAB“). Corporate advice, including the structuring of the transaction and the overall coordination of the project was handled by lead advisors LAWENTUS.

PIA is one of the leading Digital Agencies in Germany. It unifies various successful companies within one group and is considered to be the first Data Driven Full Service Agency within the Digital Performance Marketing field. It provides customer optimized Content- and Campaign Strategies offered as a single source solution.

Tab GmbH was founded in 2016 and provides Marketing Strategies for all mobile-relevant applications. The takeover strengthens the main brand of PIA and drives the international expansion, mainly into the U.S. market. Especially TAB´s expertise in the mobile- and InApp business is said to add value to the whole PIA group and its customers.

BLOMSTEIN advised PIA on antitrust issues in the context of the transaction, in particular with regard to merger control requirements.
