BLOMSTEIN starts 2026 with celebrations

BLOMSTEIN starts the New Year with three celebrations: Elisa Theresa Hauch is promoted to the Antitrust Partnership; Konstantin Kuhle, former Member of the German Bundestag, joins as Special Counsel, and Bruno Galvão is appointed Counsel.

These three senior appointments strengthen our core practices in Antitrust, International Trade, Public Procurement and ESG across our offices in Berlin, Lisbon and Brussels.

Elisa Theresa Hauch joining our Antitrust Partnership

Elisa is a highly experienced antitrust lawyer advising clients on competition law matters with a special focus on complex merger control, compliance and platform regulation. With an impressive track record across a wide range of industries – including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, automotive and technology – and a strong international network, she powerfully complements our antitrust partnership.

Elisa joined BLOMSTEIN in September 2023 laterally. Prior to that, she worked at leading US law firms in Brussels, including Wilson Sonsini and Sullivan & Cromwell, and gained valuable in-house experience at Amazon Music.

She is one of the key figures shaping BLOMSTEIN’s newly opened Brussels office, which she has been instrumental in building and developing from the outset together with Leonard von Rummel.

“Elisa is an exceptional lawyer whose ability to navigate highly complex transactions our clients value deeply,” says Anna Huttenlauch, Partner at BLOMSTEIN. “I am delighted that we are appointing Elisa as our first new antitrust partner – a brilliant personality who combines sharp legal judgment with a great sense of humour and team spirit and always knows how to keep a cool head. She will be a real win to our partnership.”

Konstantin Kuhle – Political Insight Meets Legal Expertise

Konstantin brings seasoned political and regulatory experience to BLOMSTEIN. A lawyer by training, he served as Deputy Chair of the FDP parliamentary group in the German Bundestag until 2025, where he developed particular expertise in security and regulatory matters.

During his political career, he was closely involved in numerous legislative initiatives in the areas of public security and intelligence law, with a strong focus on identifying and countering hybrid threats – a field of increasing relevance for the protection of critical infrastructure and cybersecurity in both the public and private sectors. He has also worked extensively on German and European relations with Latin America.

At BLOMSTEIN, Konstantin will continue his legal career as a lawyer and Special Counsel, supporting our International Trade Law, Public Procurement and ESG practices. A particular focus of his work will be our National Security practice, where he will be advising on national, European and global matters.

“We are very pleased to welcome Konstantin to our team,” says Roland M. Stein, Partner at BLOMSTEIN. “His diverse and impressive experience from many years in the Bundestag will enrich our firm in every respect. Our clients, who frequently face complex regulatory challenges, will benefit greatly from his perspective and expertise.”

Bruno Galvão – ESG Expert and Driving Force of our LatAm Desk

Since joining BLOMSTEIN, Bruno has played a decisive role in shaping our ESG practice and particularly in significantly expanding our Brazilian and broader Latin American client base. Bruno advises on sustainability regulation, supply chain compliance, corporate governance, as well as issues related to the energy transition and renewable fuels.

Bruno leads several international projects at the intersection of digital compliance structures and sustainable corporate governance. He is also widely recognised for his thought leadership, including as a lead contributor for Germany and the EU to the Oxford Climate Policy Monitor. From the BLOMSTEIN Lisbon Hub, he continues to systematically develop our Latin America practice.

“Bruno is not only an excellent lawyer but also a highly strategic thinker, combining great drive with a keen sense for future-facing topics,” says Florian Wolf, Partner at BLOMSTEIN. “His promotion to Counsel sends a clear signal of our commitment to further expanding our ESG practice and underscores BLOMSTEIN’s international positioning.”

A Key Step in BLOMSTEIN’s Strategic Development

These three appointments mark an important step in our long-term strategic development and reflect our firm’s core values: Legal excellence, international footprint and leadership.
