Brazilian compliance lawyer joins BLOMSTEIN

Trade law compliance and public procurement law expert Bruno Andrioli Galvão joined BLOMSTEIN as independent Senior Trade Advisor in September 2020.

Bruno began his career as a Brazilian qualified lawyer in 2006 at Teixeira Ferreira e Serrano Advogados, a well renowned boutique law firm specialized in public procurement and regulatory law. In 2011, Bruno joined Mattos Filho, where he worked until the end of 2014 as a senior lawyer in the infrastructure team dealing with regulatory law, public concession procedures and compliance. Bruno moved to Berlin in November 2014, where he worked as Senior Business Development Manager at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer for matters related to Latin America.

BLOMSTEIN will benefit from Bruno’s expertise in public procurement law and compliance matters, especially regarding debarment procedures of Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) such as the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank. He also maintains an extensive network with contacts to key players in the Latin American market.

Being both a Brazilian qualified lawyer and an experienced business development manager, Bruno’s appointment is an important step in strengthening and expanding BLOMSTEIN’s Latin American activities led by Roland Stein.
