BLOMSTEIN successfully advised the deep-tech company Helsing in the Series B Financing Round and in the contract negotiations with the German Armed Forces for the FCAS
BLOMSTEIN advised Helsing, as it did on the previous Series A financing 2021, together with YPOG on the recent Series B financing round with a total volume of EUR 209 million. BLOMSTEIN supported with regard to investment control law. A big thank you goes to Helsing as well as to the entire YPOG team for the trust placed in us!
Investors of this financing round include U.S. venture capitalist General Catalyst as the lead investor, Swedish aircraft and defense company Saab as a strategic investor, and Berlin-based VC firm La Famiglia.
BLOMSTEIN also successfully advised Helsing on the contract negotiations with the German Federal Office of Armed Forces Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) closed in August 2023, as well as other related contracts. The contract for providing the artificial intelligence (AI) development infrastructure for the Future Combat Air System (FCAS), was signed on August 7, 2023 with immediate effect.
Helsing was founded in 2021 and has offices in Munich, Berlin and London. As a technology and software company of the latest generation, it has a focus on developing AI capabilities for the security and defense sectors.
