General Industries
The manufacturing sector has long been of critical importance to the German and European economy. Economic policy initiatives, such as the Industrial Strategy 2030 of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action or the European Commission's New Industrial Strategy for Europe, aim to increase the attractiveness and strengthen the EU as an industrial location. The ecological change and the digital transformation toward Industry 4.0 represent enormous upheavals, which are further complicated by rising energy prices, by weaknesses in global supply chains that have recently come to light, or by geopolitical tensions. The transformation to a green, digital and resilient industry is accompanied by increasing regulatory density, which presents affected companies with new legal challenges.
